Privacy Policy
In the course of doing business, The Princeton Insurance Company may collect nonpublic personal information about individuals ("personal information") in order to provide insurance products or services. We treat individuals' personal information as confidential and recognize the importance of protecting access to it.
We may collect and use personal information individuals provide us in writing, electronically, or by telephone. For instance, we may collect and use information from applications, requests for forms, or literature. We may also collect personal information from individuals' transactions with us, such as payment history and claim history. On occasion, we may also collect and use personal information from third parties, such as insurance reporting agencies, other insurers, and those providing services to us.
We do not sell personal information about individuals to any third parties, and we do not disclose it to third parties unless necessary to process a claim, service an insurance policy, or as otherwise permitted by law. We may share information within the Princeton Insurance family of companies in the course of providing or offering products and services to best meet your insurance needs. We may also share that information with companies that perform administrative or marketing services for us, and with companies with whom we are developing insurance products, such as actuarial service companies. When we enter such a relationship, our contracts prohibit such companies from using personal information, for any purposes other than those for which they were hired. During the normal course of our business, we are required to report certain information about professional liability claim settlements to government agencies, such as the National Practitioner Data Bank.
We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect personal information. Within The Princeton Insurance Company, we limit access to personal information to those who need it to perform their jobs, such as servicing your insurance policies, resolving problems, or informing you of new products or services. Finally, through our Confidentiality Policy, which applies to all employees, we restrict the use of personal information and require that it be held in strict confidence.
Thank you for choosing The Princeton Insurance Company. We value you as a customer and appreciate the opportunity to serve you.
